Tiger Symphonic Band The Georgetown College Symphonic Band is comprised of approximately fifty-two (52) members [under ideal circumstances] and is the core of our Tiger Band Program. The Symphonic Band annually performs two, primary on-campus concerts as well as being involved with the "GCMS" [Guest Conductor Mini-Series], the Kibbie Experience [Kentucky Intercollegiate Band] as well as exchange programs with other college and university band programs. The Symphonic Band performs music representing a wide variety of musical genres including new works by Holsinger, Margolis, Whiteacre, Hearshen, Gillingham, Stanhope and Giroux as well as classics by Verdi, Holst, Grainger, Vaughan-Williams, Fillmore and Sousa. Membership is open to any full-time student at Georgetown College who is an exemplar of the "Five-Fold Band Tenets" and admittance is based upon a successful audition, interview and/or permission of the Director of Bands.
