Good Early Afternoon,

I hope this finds you well. Okie-Dokie – at least upon first glance today – no more possible “plagues” [I continue to think it was … well “interesting” that our Band Gala Week started with an earthquake ~ please know we are on the look-out for other possible “issues” (i.e. frogs, boils, locusts, et al) and on these, we shall be in touch].

Band Scholars/Enthusiasts: Dry Run IV ~ Expectations Met … probably about where we should be right now. Need to stress “H&H” issues [i.e. Head and Heart] … also as the excitement and the “F&F” [aka Flurry and Frenzy] of the Gala itself approaches – need to really work on keeping mental focus – personal accountability. You know what you need to do, you know you can do what you need to do – it is now simply time to settle in and do it … it is nearly time to “pull the trigger”.

Gem Alumni: What can I say – I have been dreaming for exactly one year of the possibility and potentiality of having the extreme privilege and pleasure of having you all in one place – at one time … I know this shall never happen again [yes, I have been getting “weepy” a lot of late – you know me, I am a bit of a crier]. I am very sensitive to the fact that each of you are making great personal and professional sacrifices to be with us for the Gala – please, please, please know – this is something I do not take for granted [also Gem Alumni please remember for necessary contact/needs please call P. LaRue (mobile 859.221.1315) or J. Reinhardt (mobile 859.806.6142 – while “in country”)]

Friends of the Family: Thanks, Thanks & Thanks for being with us for, and for what you shall bring to the Gala. As you know – it is not merely your musical contributions that we cherish – but rather the fact that you each hold a very special place in my heart/soul/affection/respect/esteem … in two very special cases – I not only cherish you, but those whom you also represent … and in all cases – we are very grateful for giving of your time and talents.

So anyway, a few of the Band Scholars/Enthusiasts had requested [and upon reflection I can easily see why and wisely so] a “consolidated schedule” for the Band Gala. It follows. As indicated this does not supplant the previously forwarded [and rather comprehensive] Schedule, Information & Reminders for the Gala [which may also be found on our Band Web] – but rather presents crucial information [times/places] in perhaps a more user-friendly fashion.

Thanks & Thanks to everyone and all for your contributions to the Band Gala. As I/We have said and said and said – this is a truly “OSD” [aka One-Shot Deal] and we shall never pass this way again. Enjoy & Cherish!
